About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Eynsham

I was wrong! Last night was not the last night on the Thames. We needed to water up and Dennis and Margaret needed to pump out their loo before all their family arrives on Saturday. When we arrived at Eynsham the 24 hour moorings were free below the lock and the facilities just a short distance away. So we all decided to stay one more night. Mind you we wouldn't have been able to go up Dukes cut because the lock keeper told us a tree was down and probably wouldn't be cleared before tomorrow. Just as well we stayed here then.
