About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

10th August
Its raining!! Has been throughout the night. I had hoped it would stop by the time we left this morning but no such luck. Unfortunately we cant sit it out because we still have 18 miles left to do, 7 locks, and only a day and a half to do it in. We have to be moored in Lechlade by Wednesday lunch time because any later and all the spaces will have been taken. As my hospital appointment is for 10.30am on Thursday it is very important that we get moored to the nearest point for the buses to take me into Swindon. So rain or no rain we have to go!
