Great mooring at Pelsall

The Wyrley and Essington is a lovely canal to cruise. It is such a shame that it has such a bad reputation. At every bridge graffiti is ever present and built up areas have rubbish floating in great mounds. The moorings last night we can recommend though. We had a very peaceful night at Lane Head bridge and with it being gated felt very secure. The meal at The United Kingdom was a typical pub grub menu. Loads of meat veg and chips, perfectly adequate so long as one doesn't want the big plate, small portion scenario. We set off a little after 9am and after an emptying of both cassettes, very important as Pelsall has no elsan facilities, at Snead Junction we made it to the rally site by lunch. Although very breezy the rain never materialised so..... Carol from the BBC,..... You got it wrong again!

 The internet signal here is a tad touch and go so it is quite probable that I may not be able to post every day. I'll just have to bore you all when I do get a signal.

Some sort of moth I think

Very unusual to see an Arctic Tern this far inland. They are very common in Scotland and around our coasts.
