About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Is this a record?
nb Marquis arrived last night and I was intrigued when he started removing all this rubbish from his front deck. I was amazed when he told me that it had come from his stern gear. He has left the pile in the hedge with a note explaining what it is. He will remove the rubbish to a bin at the end of the rally, but he is hoping to make people aware that what is thrown into the canal causes no end of problems for boaters as well as the wild life. Good on him I say!

We did from Wolverhampton to Pelsall Junction and picked up Five, yes Five dustbin liners full of rubbish on the run. What should have been a four hour cruise took us 9 hours. having been one of the first to leave, we were one of the last to arrive at Pelsall. I bet when Marquis gets back to that rubbish it has gone back into the canal ;0(.
