About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

It wasnt us that left the gap!

Last nights sunset.
Wow.... from having no boats at Branston Water Park yesterday, now there is hardly a space to be had! From us being Billy no Mates this morning a steady stream of boats have gradually arrived. One thing we did notice was that none of them pulled up to us. One boat arrived early and took the mooring at the far end. Then another boat arrived and moored smack bang in the middle and from then onwards the gaps have been filled. Except the one behind us. Now it looks as if we have left the space. We just cant seem to win!

Must be something we said!

Boats moored in front of us and all along the route to the park.
