About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

A day of celebration with Ian and good friends.
First I must wish my darling hubby a very happy birthday today. With us having arranged for one night to moor in the Saltisford Arm and knowing that our special friends Keith and Jo ( Hadar ) are also nearby, it was wonderful that they could both celebrate Ians special day with us. Keith has booked a table at a Thai restaurant in Warwick so tomorrow I should have a few photos of our evening together.
Back to yesterday. We found a good spot to chop all our wood and an added bonus was good internet signal. As mentioned on my last post the TV was rubbish so that alone was good enough reason for us to move. We did have a few concerns at that mooring though. We had stopped deep in a wooded area and we were a little concerned that, with the strengthening winds, branches may end up falling on our roof. So we upped and moved about half a mile further and found a lovely open mooring with good TV reception. Added bonus.....I also caught this huge Bream.
Not a good day for traveling with the rain and high winds but with only a few more miles to do and 2 locks, we should soon be snug and warm moored up with Keith and Jo.
And finally:-
