Friday 8th
Oh the joys of not having to rush. The morning was half gone before we set off and then only to Coalbourne Brook Bridge to do a Lidl shop. On the route they same problem occurred as yesterday. Having left the bottom lock on the Stourbridge flight yesterday, FS nearly came to a grinding halt. Throwing her into reverse seemed to sort things out but this morning FS's stern was bouncing like a bucking bronco and the tiller had a decided wobble. So before we walked to Lidl Ian went down the weed hatch. He produced quite a haul as you can see, taking well over 30 minutes to cut the rope free. So much nicer travelling now without that annoying bouncing.
Back to the junction and we turned left onto the Stourport Canal.

No longer salvageable, me thinks. |
After 4 locks we turned right onto the Staffs and Worc

Some very pretty locks on this canal. Top lock on the Stourton Flight. |

Doing my bit. |

Right onto the Staffs and Worc |
Three miles and just those four locks and we decided to stop. Still early afternoon but what a lovely place to moor and the river right next to us too. Walking was a must and to then chill out in the front deck with a coffee watching the world go by, well it didn't get better then that.
And the wildlife
