Litter brother and sister meet for the first time in 12 years..

 In February 2002, and the second of her litters, Judy gave birth to 9 puppies, 4 yellow & 5 black. In amongst the black puppies was Fynn and the last puppy still to find a good home. It wasn't long before he was snapped up by his new owners, Sarah and Clive. It had always been my nightmare wandering if any of my puppies had gone to bad homes but as soon as I saw Sarah and Clive I knew he would be well looked after. And I wasn't wrong because he looked the picture of health when I saw him. Before I had Judy and Bracken mated I had them xrayed to make sure their hip scores were acceptable. There is nothing worse then to continue breeding the awful hip dysplasia that so many dogs now have. I was lucky that both Judy and Bracken's scores were very low indeed (Bracken was a 4 and Judy's a 7) and the vets gave me the go ahead to breed them. Anyway, it's not often that the breeder ever gets to see how the puppies have turned out so I was very excited to see how much Fynn had grown and if there was some resemblance to Judy. In fact he looked uncannily like her and even had the look of Echo about him. Made me a little sad to think Judy was no longer with us but it's nice to see that her genes live on in her offspring.

At 3 weeks. Fynn is one of the black puppies but I have no idea which one!

So Jade and Fynn are related having the same father (Bracken) and mother (Judy) but Jade is nearly 2 years older then Fynn. This is Judy with her first litter. Echo (Christine and Kevin's dog) is also from the first litter.

A few days old

At 3 weeks. I think that Echo is the first black puppy on the left and Jade is next to her.
