About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

ISA done and dusted
As the weather has been abysmal and sitting twiddling our thumbs isn't in our nature, we decided to brave the elements and, armed with waterproofs and
brolly, set off to
Birmingham city center with the aim of sorting out our ISA's We have been umming and ahhing over
where to put this years allowance for ages and after looking at numerous banks
and building society's we have finally decided on Santander. Their rate of 4%
over two years is the best we have found anywhere. The added bonus for
us is that we can transfer our excising ISA's into that account as well.
So, with nothing more for us to do as Santander does it all, and armed with various leaflets about mortgages (don't need) life insurance ( don't need ) and credit card details ( don't want!!!), we returned to the boat very satisfied that at least this years allowance will make us SOME interest in the near future! After getting soaked again because Jade decided that she just had to go out, we settled down to more tea and coffee and went back to watching daytime TV again. Groan!!!!
