Another dusting of snow overnight but nothing much to speak of. The sub zero temperatures at night, though, adds to the already thickened ice on the canal making our departure more and more uncertain. Somehow I cant see us getting to Milton Keynes for another couple of weeks. One of the problems we have now is another unexpected hospital appointment, this time for me, for the 20th February at the Derby Royal. By now we should have been well on our way to Stoke Bruerne and would have arrived in plenty of time for Ian to fetch our car and then take me to the hospital. Best laid plans and all that means that we will have to stay here in Kilby, even if the thaw starts, so I can keep the appointment on the 20th. I always worry if we outstay our moorings but having a word with Mike's wife ( He used to be mooring warden before BW got rid of them all ) told us not to worry as the boats in front of us have been either moored where we are now or the other side of the bridge for roughly one and a half years!!!!. Another good reason not to get rid of mooring wardens!!
Continues moorer's but all very friendly.
So at the moment I'm starting to wonder what to do with myself. The boat is clean, baking done and dog walked. There is only so much telly one can watch before getting fed up with it. Ian has decided to fetch the car as the parking seems reasonable above the bridge so at least we will be able to go out a bit more.
