About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

waiting for the tide
6 boats met at the lock entrance at 8.30 am. We waited to be told by BW that the tide was just right to get us onto the Douglas. I for one was extremely apprehensive especially as the tide seemed to be running very fast past the lock. We had to breast up with another boat while we waited. Yep that's me holding them together.
