About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Heading for Savick Brook
As 6 boats left in pairs through the lock at Ruford, we were number 5 in the Queue. We managed to catch the lead boats up only because we knew we only had a window of just over 2 hours to get to Savic Brook. (A height of 8.7 mtr tide was predicted and they recommended a height of 9 mtrs plus ) If we didn't make it we would have been diverted to Preston, another couple of miles down the River.
