- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough.From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Air Ambulance
We are still moored at Bilsborrow and as there is an agricultural show on this weekend, we decided to stay and see what it is all about. We are planning to set of for Lancaster next Wednesday 23rd. This morning we had the peace and quiet shattered by sirens heading up the A6. All the emergency services were there, Police,Fire, Ambulance and the Air ambulance. I captured this photo of the helicopter taking off.
