About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Lancaster

We made good time to Lancaster after leaving Galtang and stopped to water up, empty loo's etc. While we waited there this nice BW man came and told us that the moorings at Hest Bank were nigh on impossible but with any luck we might just be able to moor before it. I would be very disappointed if I couldn't moor there because I wanted to take the dogs to the beach.
