About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

At the services on the Ruford Arm

We turned of the Bridgewater canal onto the Ruford Arm and the final leg of our journey to the Lancaster canal. It was raining cats and dogs and we thought we would wait and empty loo's etc, but BW had locked the facilities and we didn't have a key to unlock them. So it was men behind a tree and women behind a conveniant bush .
