About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Stealing Asda's Trolleys???

Back at Skipton we waited for Bracken and Icing to catch us up after there trip back home. We all stayed there for another day to allow Dennis and Margaret and Dave and Heather to see the sights. On the last day they went shopping and this is what they came back with.
I stayed with the boats while all the others went to Asda. I couldn't believe what I saw when they arrived back wheeling these supermarket trolleys. "So this is where they all go to" I thought. Inside the trolleys were two large packages and I was then informed that they had bought the only two folding bikes left in the store. Margaret volunteered to take both trolleys back to Asda after unloading the goods. Dave and Dennis then unpacked the bikes and stood scratching their heads wondering what bit went where.
