About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Bolton Priory
On another one of our excursions we took the bus to the Devonshire arms just outside the grounds of the priory. The day was sunny for a change and loads of tourists turned up with kids in tow armed with bucket and spades. It was only when we entered the grounds did we realise that part of the bank by the river was made up of loads of sand and the kids were having a whale of a time building sand castles and paddling in the water. We would have crossed the stepping stones but as it had rained heavily a few days before only a small part of the stones were visible and we didn't fancy getting our feet wet. If the dogs could have talked they would have called us wimps!!
