OMG....Last night we had a visit by a fox. Looked at me through the Beasts window but I had no time to get the camera out before it sauntered away. But then, looking in the far field, a dark shape was seen. Camera out at full zoom and discovered it to be a badger. How delighted were we!!! The first live Badger ever seen.
So this morning. A very relaxing start to the day although I did have to scrub the carpet having knocked a glass of red wine all over it last night! Thank goodness for Vanish soap! Got rid of the stain completely. Anyway, with the Stena ferry booked for 1pm we didn't need to set off until 10.30am and even with stopping at a garage to fill with diesel, we still arrived by 11am. Only the third motorhome in the line we fully expected to be on board first when the time came. Not so as we were the last of the four lanes to be called to embark.

The sea was like a millpond which was a shame really cos we do love a bit of a swell. Having waved farewell to the coast of Britain, sat down for lunch (£26 for a Thai green curry and burger and chips!!!) then seats were found to sit out the 3.5-hour crossing.
Glorious weather greeted us on arrival at Rosslare and within 10 minutes of leaving the ferry, we were at a Brit Stop at Tacumshane, County Wexford. Still not sure where we are going to tomorrow. Still to be decided.
Fab Brit Stop and so far we are the only one here. |
And wildlife seen today,
White Ermine Moth (thanks to the info from Paul Clark) |
Looks a bit bedraggled. Could it be the male of the white moth above? Found nearby each other. (Identified again by Paul as a Buff Ermine Moth). |

Thank you, welcome to our 6 week trip and hope you enjoy the tour. Xx
Hi Irene
I hope you enjoy your adventures exploring Ireland. The moths are in fact different but closely related species. The white one is White Ermine, and the yellower one is Buff Ermine.
Paul
Thanks Paul, I will amend my post.
