About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

I like osteospurnums, they are such a hardy plant of which I had many in my garden when we were landlubbers.
Fabulous pics again, thanx,

Hi Wozie,

Thanks for letting me know what the plant was. I'm hopeless when it comes to naming them. It's the same as the bugs I photograph. If only I could find a book to help identify them. So far no luck but I am always grateful to anyone who can tell me what they are.

These plants were re-named a few years ago apparently.
I used to live next door to a botanist and learnt a lot from her. Sadly I have forgotten most of it now though!
