When it was our turn to enter the dock, we had trouble in closing the gates. After a lot of heaving and pulling we finally managed it and started to let the water out of the dock. Thats when we realized that the gates were letting in water as fast as the water was draining away. Mick then had a brilliant idea. He asked us all for the ash out of our ash pan. He then poured the ash into the water where the leaks were and low and behold the leak sealed. Genius.
About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.
