Yea...All finished! Another year of blacking over and only another 361 days till we start again! Must say we've got a lot done in the four days and the locker was one thing on our to do list that badley needed doing. The rust convertor did the job nicely and this morning I was able to paint over it with the Hammerite.
Ian finished the gunwales and I managed to wash the starboard side of the boat. Fenders are back on and all ready now for the lifting of paddles in the morning. Colin, Iwona and the grandchildren are coming to see the boat refloated. Colin thought it might interest the children and I just hope he gets up early enough to travel from Milton Keynes to here before that happens. Anyway here are the last few photos of our now nice shinny boat and a birdie visitor to entertain us on the gates.
About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.
