About Us

My photo
In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Have reached 2000

Since starting this blog 6 years ago I have now reached my 2000th post. Some might say a lot of what I've posted has been utter drivel and I suppose I could agree with that......on some occasions anyway. Ian is always wanting to know what I find to write about as, according to him, nothing much has happened during that day. I obviously see things differently and what I find important in the day he doesn't. So I will continue to write a load of drivel and hope that you all continue to read my nonsense and maybe, sometimes, I could even make a bit of sense.    Free Smilies courtesy of www.GreenSmilies.com

Hi Irene

Congratulations on your 2000th posting!

Personally I've found your blog so entertaining; you've made me laugh...you've made me cry & I look forward to reading what you have to say everyday. Thank you for taking the time to write.

I found your blog so inspiring that when we were on our share boat, Eos for 3 weeks I took time to write my own blog & I hope people found my blog as interesting as I find yours.

Keep writing...I love what you do

Kind regards
Melinda
