Yesterday our batteries were returned to us. Apparently 2 of the batteries were completely flat, and the other two were showing only a partial charge. I say again HOW DID WE MANAGE TO GET AS FAR AS WE DID!!! Anyway they are now fully charged and this morning Ian started the engine and........ the electrics tripped out again. Now we know it isn't the batteries. the specific gravity was where one expected it to be after a night with lights and TV. So Ian phoned the guys at Victron and said it must be the charger at fault. They asked him to perform a few tests one of which was bypassing the battery isolator. This Ian did and so far so good. They electrics are still on. Watch this space!!
Judy is still pacing but no mess this morning. She did appear to enjoy her walk and the new chewy we got her went down a treat.
About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.
