There were so many males persuing this duck that she must have felt our boat was a safe haven. It was only a short respite because the "would be" suiters were relentless in there quest to woo her and chased her off the roof. Glad I'm not a duck!!!! The saga of our batteries seems to have a good ending. Two days now and the electrics have stayed on. Unfortunately Ian's hydrometer broke and so he hasn't been able to check the specific gravity of the cells. We have briefly moored on a water point in Macclesfield so Ian can find a Halfords to purchase a new one. ( We tried to get onto the 24 hour moorings but couldn't get any closer then 3ft from the bank!!!)
About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.
