A soft-top car gathering was also at the market in aid of breast cancer awareness.
On a cold chilly Autumn day, we arrived at the Kettering Ferry port. The plan was to overnight on Bruny Island at a Parks site, see as much as we could and catch the late afternoon ferry back to Kettering on Sunday.
Not far from the ferry port in Bruny a lookout to view the little Blue Penguins. No sign of the Penguins, they hardly ever show themselves until dusk but how great were the views?
Found the Parks site at Cloudy Bay. Wow, what a bleak and rugged area and the wind...wild is the only way to describe it.
Apparently, there is another camp site only accesible by driving across the beach at low tide. We were not brave enough to attempt that drive.
And wildlife,
Star fish seen by the harbour. |

Your van is like the one we had from Apollo in Adelaide it was comfy but a bit of a pain towards the end of the trip with having to put up the bed. We got back 2 weeks ago we came through Hong Kong airport it was so quiet and quiet eerie. We had to wait on the plane at Manchester till the captain gave the all clear for us to get off. I hope you get back home safe and sound! I’ve been enjoying reading your travels take care and get plenty of hand sanitizer when you can. xx
Hi Barbara, this van had the bed already made up which in itself was a right pain. Lack of space and storage was our main problem. We are still unsure if we need to travel back to the UK early, our plan was to stay in Singapore for 5 days mid-April but that could still all change.
