About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Shackleton Railway
On the May bank holiday weekend we decided to take the train from Shenton to Shackelstone. Bad mistake. It was a "Thomas" weekend. Hundreds of kids everywhere. We tried to get on the train only to be told that we should have pre-booked the tickets. Luckily on the Sunday there were spaces available so we got our ride eventually. The family turned up again so we took Joshua to see his first steam train. He didn't seem perticulary interested but there again he is only 8 months!!!
