In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.
The wedding of our niece Liz to Richard took place over the weekend. A more idyllic place is yet to be found and an almost perfect day apart from the distant thunderstorm which unfortunately made it to the venue and spoiled the perfection. But the double rainbow that appeared afterward made the whole day magical.

Looks like a fab day, Irene, and aren't the Blue Mountains amazing? I hope you are staying and exploring them a bit! We went there last April with our daughter Kirsty who lives in Sydney and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to seeing you early next year! Cheers, Marilyn
