Our lovely Jade has gone over the rainbow bridge in the sky. Collapsed
this morning and went off her legs. Rushed her to the vets in
Swadlincote. There she was referred to a cardiovascular vets in
Kennelworth who thought her problem was neurological so referred her to
Willows in Birmingham. They confirmed she had trauma to her spinal cord
in her neck which maybe was why she was panting so much because of the
pain. Her heart condition was bad but the cardiovascular vet didn't
think she was in heart failure. In the end we had to make the decision.
Put her through more test including MRI scan with the risk of the
anesthetic, or let her go. We knew what to do and let her go. RIP Jade.
The most wonderful and loyal friend. We will miss you forever.
About Us
- Ian and Irene Jameison
- In 1977 we hired our first narrowboat from Anglo Welsh at Market Harborough. From that moment our destiny was set. In 2006 we finally purchased our own brand new 57' narrowboat which we named 'Free Spirit'. Our aim is to travel the length and breadth of all the navigable rivers and canals of the UK. This will be our story as it unfolds.

Run free Jade
Richard
My sincerist condolences on letting her go. We've been through it twice, once much more unexpected than the other. To quote Kipling ".. giving your heart to a dog to tear" but it is worth it for the good times.
