We are finding the days going by quickly as both of us are glued to the TV watching the paralympics. We have every admiration for how these athletes have coped with their disabilities. Just goes to show there is always someone worse off then yourself. Quite what we are going to do next week when the games have finished, is anyone's guess! Ian has big plans for trying to remove the coach line tape that was stuck on the cabin side instead of it being painted. We have been told to allow the cabin side to get as hot as possible in the sun and then try to peel it off. So far, all thats happened, is a lot of sticky glue left in its place. If anyone has any idea's on how to remove the glue we would love to hear from you.
Tonight we had the pleasure of a giant ladybird flying over Langley Mill. It was accompiaed by two powered para gliders.
Seems that this was the highlight of the week!!!
I love reading your blogs and September was always a month we loved to cruise. The kids were back at school and not so many boats about, but this year I will have to be with you all in spirit as a virtual cruiser and enjoy all your exploits.

Yes I am very much enjoying the photos too, they are amazing Irene.
So pleased that things are going to plan more or less and that you are feeling OK Ian.
For sticky stuff like plasters I use Zoff obtainable from the Chemist. It used to be sold by the bottle, but lately I haven't seen any just sort of wipes. No idea if they will work on paint, but I have found Zoff useful in a number of situations of sticky stuff residue!

Hi both Glad Ian is holding up so well with the chemo. You could try nail varnish remover on the sticky stuff - no idea if it will affect the surrounding paintwork though, perhaps ttry it on an inconspicuous spot first.

Your photographs are always so wonderful, I do love the balloon, I have only seen one so far this year and it was to far away to photograph.
Like Pip I was going to say nail varnish remover or I have heard the WD40 will take sticky stuff off, but again test it first.

Another vote for nail varnish remover for getting rid of sticky stuff - never tried it on paint though. Let us know what you eventually use cos I've got loads of gaffa tape remains to clean off :-)

What great tips. Would never have given nail varnish remover a second thought. We will try all of your idea's and let you know how we got on.
Oh and Jo, apart from going a bit stir crazy, I'm baring up very well. Thank goodness for the paralympics at the moment. It makes the days go by quickly and I have just seen a trailer for Strictly Come dancing to start mid September ( yep Christmas is only a few months away ) so its something else to look forward to. I'd still much rather be cruising!

Really please to hear Ian is not too affected by the chemo.
I used to get Sticky Stuff remover from Betterware which was good I bet you can get it anywhere now, not sure if it would work but might be worth a try.
