Not what we call a bar!

 May 6th

We checked out at 10 am today, ready for the return journey over the border back to Botswana. First, a mini bus took us back across the bridge and then a coach for the rest of our way back. Whilst waiting for the passports to be stamped, I was made a meal of by those little dastardly mosquito buggers! Back of both legs covered in bites. First day, I didn't bother to cover myself in repellent. And to my cost! Anyway, back at the site, my first thought was to get washing done. Most sites offer a laundry service, but not the Chobe Big 5. Each motorhome had an individual plot with its own toilet block and a sink deep enough for the washing. But no, the water from the geysers didn’t work, and finding a maintenance guy fiddled with the geyser knobs and said it was kaput! My man that can to the rescue (what would I do without him), fiddled with the wires, turned the knob again, and hey presto, it worked!

We also found out no meal had been prepared at the restaurant, their excuse was that the chef hadn’t been asked to come, and so we decided on a liquid diet, but found the bar was just a fridge in the corner of the room consisting of a few beers, soft drinks and no wine!! After the luxury of the hotel, it was a shock!

Tomorrow they promised a buffet, hmmm, one can only hope!  So with no bar to meet the group, Quidler was played that night. So far, Ian has the upper hand.

This was in our motorhome on our return from the hotel.
