So much to see and do in Alice.

I am now very behind with my posts. 2 long days of sightseeing and a stuffed up computer didn't help.

Tuesday 21st, the first full day at Alice Springs and it was full on. We visited the Royal Flying doctors which gave us a fascinating insight into the work they do across Australia, The Old Alice Springs Gaol and Labour Prison opened in November 1938. Then that afternoon we did a 6 hour 4WD Safari to Simpson Gap, Standley chasm and Ellery Creek Big Hole where we had a very welcome and much-needed swim and to finish the day we climbed up Anzac Hill to watch the sun go down over Alice Springs.

Map of Europe inside Australia. The Flying doctors visit nearly every corner.

Wednesday we had a long long drive to Uluru. 460 km there and 460km back. Took all of 20 hours including seeing the rock, aboriginal center and sunset BBQ. More of that fabulous trip tomorrow.
