Boats, boats and more boats

 Its June.... and in a week it will be the official start of summer. Me thinks the seasons have gone haywire as the weather just lately has felt more like Autumn. The footbridge should have been finished by now, painted both sides, and it's not for the want of trying but as soon as the brushes came out and paint pots opened, the heavens opened and work had to be abandoned yet again. It's been like that on and off all day and if that's not bad enough the temperature hasn't risen much above 14 deg. Malc and Ian are now hoping to finish the bridge first thing tomorrow morning before the opening of the site. I feel so sorry for the organisers of this rally. 2 years ago at the first boat gathering here in Pelsall, Sunday was a complete wash out and stall holders all packed away early. This weekend doesn't seem to appear any better. So today has really been a bit of a waste of time for Ian. I have kept busy sorting out photos and watching the harbour master on his motorised scooter race up and down all day long come rain or shine getting boats all moored up. In between showers bunting has appeared on some boats, ours included, and a lovely sight it is too. Lets hope tomorrow will at least stay dry for most of the time.
