Stratford day 2

Another day seeing the sights and dodging the showers. We paid our money to see Hall Croft house, another place owned by one of Shakespeare family. His daughter Susanna this time. Although the house was impressive it wasn't worth the £7 each we paid to view. Better value was the butterfly farm on the other side of the river. Cost was a reasonable £5.50 each and we must have spent a good couple of hours happily watching the butterflies and insects.

Quail

While we were out the basin filled up with boats, the majority coming up from the river. We failed to make our planned  move to the visitor moorings as not one of the boats had left. It could be because Stratford is holding some sort of regatta tomorrow and there are signs all along the river bank asking boaters not to moor from Friday to Sunday, no doubt to allow the spectators to watch the proceedings.

Loads of boats having to breast up.
