Leek Branch

The forecast was for rain later so by 8.30am we let go forward and aft and set of for the 2 1/2 miles to the end of the branch. Again the views were magnificent. I took these pictures just before we crossed the aqueduct over the Caldon Canal. Ian took the tiller and as we approached another sharp left hand bend he did excactly the same as I did earlier in the week and rattled a bridge hole good and proper. Now who needs the L plates!!! I had just finished gloating when the heavens opened. Thanlfully we had just gone through Leek tunnel and with the aid, for once, of the wind , winded round and headed back to a really lovely mooring overlooking the valley.
