After turning round in Shardlow we headed back toward Sawley and then onto the Beeston cut. Our aim was to get to Pier Point at Holme Lock on the river Trent. There we planned to stay for a few days before winding round to go back to Shardlow where we were due to meet Dennis and Margaret. The Trent was at normal levels and we made good time to Pier Point.

River Trent
After turning round in Shardlow we headed back toward Sawley and then onto the Beeston cut. Our aim was to get to Pier Point at Holme Lock on the river Trent.
