Overview of the Aylesbury Arm basin

Sometimes it's nice to know what to expect on visiting a new place. Not having done much other then shop and buy a new phone (Samsung and for Ian not me) I thought I would just post some photos of the Aylesbury basin.  All photos are from Ian's knew phone and to me, they are pretty impressive.

Looking toward the end

Pontoons which can be used as visitor moorings......for now anyway. Change will happen once the building work is complete.

Big building in the center is the Waterside Theater

Looking from the end. The official visitor moorings are the grassy bit in the front. Beyond that are the facilities. Rubbish bins at the end of the arm. click here to see where they are situated

And Ian's panoramic view also taken on the phone. Clever, shame it's not bigger though

  1. When we were there in August last year, the wavy-roofed building was just a hole in the ground (plus lots of builders, obviously).

  3. Be interesting to cruise this canal next year, just to see what it will be like when finished.
